Xavier Mestelan Pinon

An engineering graduate from ESTACA, Xavier began his career at Citroën Sport before joining the brand’s factory team for its World Rally Championship debut in 2001. He later served as Technical Director of Citroën Racing and Deputy Team Principal, contributing to multiple world titles. In 2016, he led DS Performance, launching the brand into Formula E and securing championship titles. Xavier joined FIA in 2021, helping guide motorsport through the energy transition. Appointed Chief Technical & Safety Officer in 2023, his mission is to ensure a safer and more sustainable future for motorsport.
