PhD in Naval Architecture by Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Navales (ETSIN) at Universidad Politécnica of Madrid (UPM). In 1998, she joined the Bureau Veritas in Machinery Department, Naval Section, of Bureau Veritas, in the Plans Approval Office in Madrid, where she is also the head of the machinery, electricity and safety department. Additionally, she also holds the position of Head of the Maritime Transport Decarbonization Department in Spain. She also is an associate professor at the aforementioned School of Naval Engineers in Madrid.
