The presentation will focus on how on-demand transportation and mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) solutions are helping to reinvent movement in cities, as well as analyse how MaaS solutions are providing greater flexibility, ease of use and improved efficiency in the use of public space. Challenges and opportunities in the implementation of MaaS solutions will be reviewed, including regulation, data privacy and integration with other transportation services. Examples of cities that have already implemented these solutions will be presented and lessons learned will be discussed. It will also discuss how on-demand transportation and MaaS solutions can contribute to reducing traffic congestion, improving accessibility and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in cities.
