Electrification vs Hydrogen: How, when and for what?

  • 23/03/2023
  • 11:10 - 11:50
  • Auditorium POWER ELECTRONICS
  • During this session the adoption of electric and hydrogen fuel cell technology in the truck and bus industry will be a topic of debate. Electric vehicles have the advantage of quick charging and a simple drivetrain, while hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have longer ranges and can be refuelled like traditional gasoline vehicles. Both have challenges, such as lack of hydrogen infrastructure and high cost of batteries for electric vehicles. The decision will depend on factors such as cost, infrastructure, and regulations. As the industry moves towards sustainability, it’s important to consider the long-term benefits and drawbacks of each technology for the future of transportation.
